Mini 1.3 — Captions, Drum Rack Export, and MPC / Force Kits

Mini 1.3 turns a fast dialogue sampler into a much more finished export tool, with caption burn-in for MP4 chops, direct kit export for Ableton and MPC / Force, steadier real-time playback, and a 30-day trial on macOS and Windows.

Mini 1.3 — Captions, Drum Rack Export, and MPC / Force Kits

Mini 1.3 is live for macOS and Windows.

At launch, Mini was mainly about speed: load a source, transcribe it locally, highlight the line you want, and throw it onto pads. Version 1.3 keeps that workflow intact, but pushes the app much further on the export side.

This release is really about making the results feel more finished. The chops coming out of Mini can now carry captions directly inside MP4 exports, and full kits can be generated in formats that drop straight into Ableton or MPC / Force workflows.

The headline change: captions that travel with the chop

If you work from video, Mini already gives you MP4 pad exports. In 1.3, those exports can now include burned-in captions, which makes the output much more useful for social clips, proof edits, references, and any spoken-word moment where the text matters as much as the audio.

You can switch between word-based emphasis and sentence-based captions, then adjust placement and styling to fit the material. The point is simple: when a moment leaves Mini as video, it no longer has to leave as a rough draft.

Export kits that land in actual sampler workflows

The other major change in 1.3 is kit export.

Mini can now generate sampler-ready files alongside the audio itself, including an Ableton Drum Rack file and an MPC / Force drum program. That means a spoken-word kit can leave Mini already structured for the next stage of the workflow instead of needing extra setup by hand.

For producers, that is a big shift. It takes Mini from being a fast chopping tool to being a much stronger bridge into full production sessions.

Better real-time playback where it counts

1.3 also tightens up performance under the hood.

Playback and pad triggering were refined for heavier sessions, and the new Audio Blocksize setting gives users direct control over the stability-versus-latency tradeoff. If you use Mini with a controller, or you push large projects hard, this matters.

A better point to evaluate Mini

This release also marks the move to a 30-day free trial, up from the much shorter trial window before.

If you tried Mini earlier, a one-time reset was applied so people can evaluate the current version on its own terms rather than through an older build.

About the version number

This release is being presented publicly as Mini 1.3.

Depending on platform, the current download may carry a slightly different patch number because of smaller platform-specific fixes. The feature release, though, is 1.3.
