Quota Mini 1.1 Is Live: Isolate Vocals, New Chop Modes & Critical Fixes

Happy New Year, everyone! We are kicking off 2026 with some massive updates to Quota Mini. Version 1.1 is officially here, and it is packed with new features designed to streamline your sampling workflow—plus a critical fix to keep things running smoother than ever.

Whether you are remixing tracks, sampling dialogue from movies, or repurposing content for social media, this update gives you significantly more control and creative freedom. Here is everything new in Quota Mini 1.1.

🎤 Isolate Vocals with DEMUCS

This is the headline feature. We have integrated DEMUCS technology to bring powerful stem separation directly into Quota Mini. You can now isolate vocals from any audio or video file with just a click.

Clean Dialogue: The software automatically separates the vocal stem while discarding background music, sound effects, and noise.

Video Support: It doesn't just work for audio—it works for video too! You can load a video clip (like an MP4), extract the vocals, and export a perfectly synced video file with just the clean dialogue.

Why use it? It is a game-changer for sampling movie quotes where background scores usually get in the way, or for remixing songs without fighting against the original instrumental.

✂️ New "Sentences" Q-Chop Mode

We have added a brand new way to chop your samples: Sentences Mode.

Unlike the existing "Smart Mode," which listens to audio cues like pauses and breathing to determine chops, Sentences Mode strictly adheres to the transcript's punctuation. It uses periods, question marks, and exclamation points to identify where a phrase begins and ends.

Precision: This is perfect for when you need to capture a full, linguistically complete sentence exactly as it was transcribed.

Options: It is available in 8, 16, 64, and 128 chop variations, giving you flexibility in how many segments you want to generate.

🔊 Normalize Audio

We have also added a Normalize Audio feature. This automatically balances the volume levels of your clips, ensuring your samples are loud, clear, and consistent. This is especially useful if you are working with quiet source material or uneven recordings.

🎨 Fresh New Themes

We have added three vibrant new visual themes to let you customize your workspace:

• 🐅 Tiger Style
• 🍊 Tangerine Theme
• 🍉 Watermelon

You can switch these up in the settings to keep your interface looking fresh.

🐛 Critical Bug Fix

Transparency is important to us. In the initial 1.0 rollout, some users experienced a crash immediately after loading an audio or video file. This was due to a conflict within the transcription engine's alignment library (specifically related to Numba).

We have fixed this issue completely. The update has been rigorously tested on a clean install (specifically on a Mac Mini M1 2020 with 16GB RAM) to ensure rock-solid stability. The transcription engine now kicks in automatically without issues, and the software is running smooth and crash-free.
